TITLE & LETTERING RESEARCH:

For our main task, we decided "What Lies Behind" was an effective title for our theme. It spurs mystery as it makes the reader want to know "what" it really is that lies behind.
After watching several film openings in the horror genre we decided that is was best to have our title appear at the end of the opening for our film. the same method is used in the following film openings; Insidious, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones and Sinister. 


We used Sans Serif San as we thought it was very informal and it fit the frame best. many other openings used similar text fonts I think this is because its informal and it doesn't make the reader as comfortable as an formal texrt. we attempted to have the font red but the title didn't look good as the tones in the frame behind clashed and we decided that it was better for us to use a black font with a white outline so that it would stand out. 

MUSIC RESEARCH:

For our main task, we decided that our music would have to be eerie and have certain jumps, in order to have an effective reaction from the audience.
We decided to use a soundtrack from highly popular horror film Insidious, because we thought it was used in a great way and had a successful reaction from audiences, we envisioned ours with a similar soundtrack.

At the start of our video, no music was used apart from a sound effect and dialogue. The soundtrack didnt start until the park scenario did, and faded in and out so that it was played only when needed.
